you shouldnt have that problem with a good set of shocks, i used to run a 255/50/16 on a turbo coupe axle and wouldnt rub with weight or people in the back after i switched shocks.
Could be, I never used "good" shocks on my 86. That car was a beater in the truest sense of the word. I just used those shit monroe shocks for autozone but they got the job done and didnt blow out over speed bumps. Its a good temporary run it til you get some money fix.
