Man those air shocks are shit. I had them on my 86. I replaced mine like 3 times and then I said fuck it. They kept blowing out going over speed bumps and stuff. Swap them out for some traditional shocks. At the very least, you can get those monroe shocks from any auto parts store for like $20 a piece. You might want a stiffer spring in the rear if you do though. I had 245/55/16's on pony rims on my old stang and with people in the back they would scrub a little bit on the fender lip.

thats the same tire im running and thats my problem is some speed bumps and people in the back....man i wish toledo had a website like this i searched and couldnt find nothing up2date because if i was down there i'd be sorta in heaven i wouldnt half to worry when i need something grhat i wouldnt have to go to far
Froggie, its not hard to pull the shocks out of the back. Just pull the trim out of the trunk or hatch area on the sides. Jack up the back of the car and put jack stands somewhere under the rear body area then lower the axle slowly. Let all the air out of the shocks and then you can take them out. Its not hard, just a bolt on the bottom and a nut on the top. Take the top nut off first and then the bottom bolt out. Dont worry about the shocks shooting out at you because they dont support the weight of the car. They just control the movement of the spring. They arent hard to compress by hand either. Then you can put the new ones in.
After that I would look for a set of stiffer rear springs or look into rolling the fenders.

you shouldnt have that problem with a good set of shocks, i used to run a 255/50/16 on a turbo coupe axle and wouldnt rub with weight or people in the back after i switched shocks.
