Basically within the next couple years or so I'm looking to build up just a basic 306, forged internals, decent h/c/i combo with around 8:1 CR preferably. Then I'm looking to just turbo it at around 8-10 psi afterwards.
No offense,.. but the stock internals will hold enough hp to crack a stock block. Going fully forged in a factory block is pointless in my opinion. Look at Frankft. He's using a bone stock 91 H.O. engine I sold him and hitting it with about 10 PSI. Only running 1/8 mile right now,.. but if you translate the times and his MPH,. he would be easily in the 10's,.. and running on a 3.08 gear!
If your going to spend the money on forged internals for an HO engine,.. buy something like a Dart block and do it right. No point in locking yourself down on restrictive hp.
