But the title of this thread is old vs. new and my answer to that would be the new trend is targeting towards show and not go unlike the old school cars. Most were ugly as sin but hauled ass.
I don't think that is very true. Sure they could be made fast as hell but the majority of newer cars are faster stock than their parents and grandparents. I was actually reading about this the other day and a lot of stock muscle cars were running like high 15's to low 17's in the quarter. Don't get me wrong they all had much greater potential but I think stock for stock the newbies are holding it down.
