Will the cams made for the 2JZ-GTE fit into the 2JZ-GE motor? I only ask because there are more cam options for the 2JZ-GTE engine. Yes, I do understand that there is not a gear drive for the distributor on the 2JZ-GTE cams but I am confident that I will be able to fabricate something up to keep the distributor working, like putting the distributor in front of one of the cam gears for example, I am currently looking into crank trigger and coil pack potions, Also, what are all the engine components which interchange between the two; crank, rods, pistons, etc. While I’m asking so many questions I want to clarify, the GE crank is forged as well correct? I thank you guys for your help, I will be taking the block and head in some time in August to get everything checked out and hopefully begin machining on the block and needed work on the head.
