Personally I get along with almost everyone, as long as they're decent people. I'm turning 30 in a couple months so it's safe to say that I'm no spring chicken. There are plenty of old school and import guys that I would rather knock on their ass then have kind words with, it's life. It has nothing to do with "old school" or "new school". There will always be differing opinions, and groups within groups that don't agree.

Hell, when I was a kid, I remember spending my money on cheap seat covers, cheap pyramid stereo gear, license plate frames, etc... for my truck, cause it was all I could afford to do on my own... Then one day I got to the point where I could afford to start buying performance parts - so I did the cold air intake, etc... (yes, on a toyota 4x4 truck!). I think it was a natural progression. Now I own an 02 LS1 (driver) and a 91 stang (project car). I've owned 3 other mustangs in the past, 2 other f-bodies, 3 other trucks (2 toyota 4x4's with the 22r 4 cylinder, lol).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that no matter what the 16 year old thinks is cool now, one day he'll probably realize there are better ways to spend his money than a 12" tall SRT spoiler on his stock wheezing neon, and hopefully in a few years his priorites will change. I look at most of the ricer kids out there as just that - kids. And I'll give them a chance if they don't act like punks. Are there a few that are beyond hope? Of course, but I try to give them the benefit of the doubt first. Likewise there are plenty of A-hole "old schoolers" that wouldn't give a kid with a 9 second crx (exxagerating here) a chance just because it's not what he's used to.

It's all about tolerance and accepting others... (steps off soapbox)
