you can save more weight too with a manual rack and pinion and lose some parasitic loss on the engine. May not be something to look into for corner carving but extra weight off the front for drag racing would be cool too. Now with some aluminum heads, relocate the battery to the back and a fiberglass hood. That could be another 100 lbs or so I would imagine. Sweet deal.
