And you shouldn't comment on people's understanding of things if you don't know them. Apparently you don't know what "flush" means either. look it up. Flush means the face of the wheel and tire are even with the body work. That car was obviously not flush. Not even counting the camber, the wheel face was sticking way outside the fender. I said it looks stupid because it is stupid. If the owner was smart he would have picked proper wheel offset and width to keep it even with the fender, or if he needed wheels that wide for performance reasons then he should get some fender flairs or a wide body kit. And if he needs wheels that wide then he should have more rubber on them for grip as well.

It's painfully obvious that said car owner did that to obtain a style look and is following a fad trying to look like cars from somewhere else, without any kind of reasoning as to "why" those cars look that way, and certainly not based on any kind of performance data of what his car needs. Negative camber does not have anything to do with a flush stance either. It has plenty to do with handling and tire wear though. Of course a street car is not driven to the handling limits on the road and should not need that much camber, and if you've ever looked at a real race car you'd see that even most of them don't use that much negative camber in the back if they are rwd since it sacrifices traction under acceleration. They don't typically run with stretched out tires either tucked that close to the fender because it increases their risk of cutting a tire if that fender gets damaged.

And trying to use my car as an example against me? Please... don't show us how retarded you really are. Those wheels are over 5 years old. I got them when the car still had the stock body. Stock wheels for my car are 16x6.5". Those are 17x7" with a 42mm offset... they were flush with the body at the time and they cleared my big brake kit... so they were all that was necessary. Now I have a wider body kit and more HP so obviously I need more rubber on the road. Just 'cause I don't have them yet doesn't mean I don't know I need them. We aren't all made of money and it's going to take some time for me to save up for a set of wheels and tires that meet my needs. When it's time, I'll be switching to something light and forged in a 18x8.5" and a smaller offset to move the wheel face out about an inch, with a properly sized 245/40 tire. In the meantime if you don't approve of my current wheels and tires, feel free to contribute some money so I can change 'em faster. Otherwise, it's not your car and my car wasn't on discussion here, so shut your big mouth and educate yourself before you open it again!
