You are making blanket assumptions on the use of stretched tires, low offset wheels and cars with aggressive stances. I run a slight stretch (255.35.18 on 9.5 rim), low offset (+27 rear, +12 front), a hefty amount of camber (-2.5, -1.75 r), and the car is dropped on its nuts. I drive this car every day, 60+ miles, in rain or shine. Does it hunt grooves in the rain? Yes. However, because everything has been dialed in properly, I have phenomenal steering feedback, so I know exactly what the car is doing, the instant its doing it, so its easy to control. In the dry, the car is solidly planted and the steering response/feel is incredible. I could not have gotten this kind of performance from a lesser offset set up, or from tires which were not a stretch.

In the end, its personal preference. IMO, I took my s14 too far, and the car was not practical for the street in most circumstances. But the Evo tackles speed bumps and everything that comes with the rigors of daily driving with ease. Its all in the execution, but to make a blanket statement to say that everyone with stretched tires, low offset wheels, and an aggressive lowering is a dumbass, doing it for the attention (who doesnt enjoy a little neck breaking anyway?), doing it to "be like everyone else" is ignorant and also insulting to those of us who know what they are doing.
I feel like a grandpa I have been stuck at home for months now on short term disability and I might not get back to work till nov.. when I can drive again as well this has given me too much time to sit on here and complain my blanket assumption went for the 98% of rides that look like that lexus. I commend the other 2% that can keep it clean , and proper. examples like the m3 posted a page back by rich, and your old car. Im sure you set up your new car properly as well.
