Default stalling...due to charcoal canister?

I've read a million threads on this for people removing the charcoal canister for wire tucks, and it all comes back the same that there is no way it should have an effect on normal driving. I blocked off the line from the throttle body and left everything else loose. I started it up...ran fine. But now for some reason its stalling if i downshift higher in the RPMs. Has anyone else removed it from a D16z6 and had a similar issue? I didn't change anything else on the car at the time so thats the only reason I'm even asking this question about this dumbass canister (and yes...i would put it back on, but it vanished from the shop over the night I took it off to the next morning)
