In all seriousness, it doesn't fucking matter. The most power will be seen with no filter, but that's not ideal for daily driving. A filter is a filter is a filter... Seriously, get a K&N drop in in your stock airbox, all you need.
I wasnt thinking power wise, more like filtration quality, life span, etc. As far as using a drop in I know it wouldnt make any more power, the air box design and filter size would likely be more of a restriction than the filter media itself. Flow rates between the medias would be interesting to see though, just from a geek standpoint.
Whole question came about from cruising ebay out of boredom and seeing so many different kinds. Had nothing to do with modding my car.
