WRXs can be fast.. but be prepared to bring alot of $$$$... i told you thiis before you bought yours.. and i tell all the people thinking they want to get a WRX.. the aftermarket for these cars is run by crooks... at least here in the US.. the parts are just so damn expensive..
supply and demand. we're a bunch of speed happy young men (mostly) with lots of disposable income, and we're WILLING to buy the parts for more, therefore the parts companies are willing to sell them to us at high prices. hondas and older cars are cheaper to put parts on because different demographics with less disposable income buy those cars.
