ok guys so today terry from t&c racing did a SHITLOAD of work to my car such as...rewired my 0bd1 dizzy to fit my obd2 car, and timed it and then when all was done we tried to start it and no luck. then we got the bright idea of spraying some carb cleaner in the intake and it worked! it idled at a steady 1.5k and revved to 3.5k....wtf (i thought it was a launch control so i payed no mind to it until i got in and actually drove the car and it hit rev limit at 3.5k....every....fucking....gear). anyway so we let it sit and it ran and ran then we finally turned it off and then it wouldnt start again. it would crank and hesitate and it sounded like it wasnt getting any fuel, so we went back to the carb cleaner and it worked but then the same situation happened as before i shut it off and it stopped working it seems as if it isnt getting enough gas at the start?? we thought it was my IACV that was bad so i took the old one off my mani and switched it still no luck.
ok so heres the setup i have a d16y7 block and sittin on top is a d16z6 vtec head. it came with the mani and all sensors and fuel rail and injectors.
i swapped it in and when i did i noticed when trying to plug the connectors to the injectors they didnt fit...so i pulled my old injectors off the y7 head and popped em on and it worked so i ran with it.
So now the only way to start my car is with carb cleaner and i cant hit over 3.5k rev when i drive wich means NO VTEC WTF. so maybe i should take my old mani and bolt it to the head because it is the same mani. or could it be my fuel mapping in my ecu?? someone please tell me some info!
