my first GT, i popped the a/c pump and mounting bracket off, bought the shorter belt and shit, and if i went over 4000RPM it would sling the belt off. well after doin it 19 times and replacing 8 belts, i figured out i needed to put the bracket back on, cuz the powersteering pump dont sit level and it runs the belts off. so u can pull it off and get the shorter belt, but leave the bracket on.
its a cost effective way, rather than spending the 100+ bucks for the actual kit.
