Currently YOU and many others consider my car a "Classic", while I consider it a "Mild Kustom". Different rules apply.
So I shouldn't show up to Billetproof with it? Haha...
Billetproof Florida 2009 registration open - Page 2 - THE H.A.M.B.
Posts 27 + 28, where I asked the BilletProof Organizer about entering my car with the 2008 motor. His reply? "yer in. See you there."
Obviously, that post was made in November of 2008, and the car still isn't ready so I didn't make it this year...but I will be there in 2010.
Personally, with my experience, I don't think it keeps with the aesthetic of the show. In addition, if I saw that at a show that I covered, I'd probably pass it by and look for something with some pedigree, especially at BP. It would be just as wrong as seeing a mod-motor in a 60's Lincoln. Neato idea, decent looking motor but just not as good as an original mill.
But I don't know anything which is probably why I quit my job @ Hot Rod and Car Craft magazine (back when they were still owned by Primedia). Yeah, I know nothing. Perch and rotate, sir.

Do rednecks go out and buy trucks and take a sledge hammer to the fenders to make it a beater? seriously.
Actually, rednecks do that. Mostly it's for tire clearance because they're too broke to afford a Sawz-All or a plazma cutter. They do get carried away at times (blame it on the Natty) and have an errant swing or two that lands a binger right in the quarter or even into the taillight.
If you were referring to the camo car I built with this inferance, you've got no idea. Hell, I don't know what you're even doing here to be honest with you.
Anyway, this is fun...it gives me something to do at work.
