Meah...I don't think that banning the weapons will do anything other than put the same criminals in jail for a bit longer time. Basicly, it will help to simply fill our jails more. Where is the need for an AR-15? There really isn't one....not for the average joe-citizen anyway. But, it IS our constitutional RIGHT to be able to own them.

I, personally don't car5ry a gun. Why? Because I don't need to. The reality is that if a bad guy wants to do something to you, he will be close enough to take the weapon from you before you can draw it. In fact, he will likely stab you or already have the drop on you with HIS gun, before you can even reach for yours. All pulling yours out will do is get you killed faster. So, it's basicly useless to carry one on my person. I have one in the house....but it's basicly useless also. Why? Because the bad guy who breaks in in the middle of the night will likely be armed also, and I will have to find my trigger lock to make mine operational. So, I have a few swords and other martial arts weapons around the house also. These, I know how to use, and I don't need to unlock them to use them. So, the gun is basicly useless for me....Now, put me on a battlefield where it's benificial to kill at a distance, give me an M-4 and I'll be happy as a clam. As for hand guns.... Not really necissary, but again...it's a constitutional RIGHT. Leave it alone.
