It may run OK but it will be slower than if it was unvented.

The MAS counts the air as it goes in the intake. If you vent your bov the calucations will be all screwed up causing your car to run incorrectly.

My car ran Ok with it vented. But anytime after a hard run it would stall as soon as I let off the throttle. Then I learned that it does not make sense to vent without a vpc, stand alone, or s-afc(but the afc will cause the car to run rich between shifts).
The only advantage you have to venting..its the RICER sound.

you can get rebuilt blocks for starions pretty cheap actually but shes solid as a rock right now

And where can you get a engine cheap? They are not really common to come by.
