IMO if you're looking for a decently quick n/a car on a budget you're better off sticking with the 4.6. Or even maybe a head swap to a 4v. I'd only swap to a pushrod if the car was a 95 or older platform. Less headache.

Agreed.
I was in the same problem your in. I wanted a windsor,.. was ready for a change. I found it easier to just sell the car and start with a car already set up for what I wanted.
