Default General Bench Racing Question

I just wanted to get some opinions/ideas/flames about this but keep in mind this is only an idea as I dont have the money or resources to do anything like this at the time being.

I have seen windows powered new edge SN95's like my 02 before. Just curious as to what it entails to swap the modular out for old school pushrod power. Is it as simple as getting motor mounts and the harness or even just going directly to a carb. Its something that I might wanna do in the future so just getting a little research done. Anybody else ever done this or seen it done?

motor mounts
wiring harness
tranny
driveshaft
headers
mid-pipe

IMO if you're looking for a decently quick n/a car on a budget you're better off sticking with the 4.6. Or even maybe a head swap to a 4v. I'd only swap to a pushrod if the car was a 95 or older platform. Less headache.

You'd be better off to sell the mod motor car and get a fox and mod it up. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with the slowness like Mark.

JFWY, Mark. I think the translation would cost too much to be worth it, JC. Stick with what you have or sell it and start over with the cheaper car.

Agreed.

I was in the same problem your in. I wanted a windsor,.. was ready for a change. I found it easier to just sell the car and start with a car already set up for what I wanted.

Eh, well. It was a neat idea. I knew the tranny and all the engine stuff would have to be changed. The new edge is a continuation of the fox platform though so I thought it might be a relatively easy swap.
