well busy day.
Got the Bung i thought i needed, and i found out i already had it, just needed to thread the dump tube for it. But Dustin @ Surgeline Tuning deff hooked me up, welded up a little sqaure plate on the dump tube, then threaded it to match my EGT sensor. Didnt want to put it pre turbo, and it is still only 5-6 inches off the motor, still pretty close.
Ended up braking a Turbo stud, but got it out, and will get a new one in the Am.
Been doing some cleaning, as well as re-wrapping all of the heat wrap, and adding some to areas that get hot. some of the wires were wrapped in 15 year ld tape. i have undone all of this, and put new stuff on there, with some heat reflextive wrap.
Also Dustin got my Power steering resivor leak welded up.
Also got my Oil pressure gauge installed. took some doing, but after i made some of the defi senders longer, i was able to get the gauge where i wanted it, and if i want can put it somewhere else and there will be 0 trace it was ever there. PITA.
but with the RB26 the weak point is deff the oil pump, and i really do not want to go through this process again.
It is hard to see, but it is only about 2 1/2 inches off the dash. looks a lot better in real person. Just need to run the sender through the fire wall. But i am going to have to cut the plug off to make it fit. there are about 9 differant things going throught the hole, and i think i need to make this a little longer anyways.
Also put some sound deadning in the Doors. i had a weird vibration at some levels when the stereo was loud. think i got it fixed now, as well as a lot of road noise.
