the tires can move side to side, but not up and down. I looked at the lower ball joints, and they weren't shaking....I looked at the outer tie rod ends, and they weren't loose....Any other ideas? I'm stumped!
while your problem seems to have "gone away" for now.....^that is still not a good thing and a symptom of a bad inner tie rod. watch for uneven tire wear.
