DOHC>SOHC all dayyyyyyyyy
Because that b16 will cost twice as much as the parts to build the d16, and will still only be stock internals which have a chance to go out at any time, also when you build the sohc you now have all new internals and seals. A new engine.
Also wtf does it matter if you have to run more boost? If you knew a damn thing about engines, turbos, or physics youd know that boost pressure doesnt mean a damn thing when it comes to power output. CFM does. Yes the higher your boost the higher your intake charge can be but beyond that "9lbs" mean JACK SHIT. 9lbs on a 57 trim t3/t4 may make 280hp while 9 lb on a t25 may make 180. Just an example.
And yes, I was referring to a d16 built with a turbo, not just rods and pistons. You will never get 250 out of a D16 NA, and its highly unlikely youll ever see 250WHP out of a B series either.
