they are, both are 232* duration.

s13 are a 240*/248* variation, which is why people like to use two s13 exhaust cams for the double 248* setup, plus it's cheap and opens up the top end just a tad.

a high-comp n/a ka build sounds intriguing and is overall sweet, but the time and money invested is too much for the diminishing gains most people see out of them. there are of course some ka race motors that aren't streetable, and some pioneers like greaser who have spearheaded that area of making power, but it's not something like in honda-land where you can throw parts at it and duplicate it.

for the goals, it would be easier to do a bottom mount ka turbo, or just get a basic SR swap. that type of power level and powerband is really fun and easy to work with.

also remember greaser's red car (i believe it is the same one), has been lightened and such from his drag racing days, and its not very close to the stock weight of a normal s13.

a centrifugal s/c 240 would be pretty sweet, IMO. it wouldn't be that hard, it would all be in the fab work of the bracket, and either getting a pulley made, or sacrificing a/c and mounting it low. it would be super easy to point the outlet and plumb a traditional front mount intercooler system, and the intake would be easy to fab, and from there it's typical FI supporting mods. but again, getting the right unit, and the time/money might not make it that great.

the few s/c'ed KA's ive heard sound so cool tho. whhheeeeee eeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeee lol
