dogboxes (whether striaght cut or helical) are typically reserved for racing because the use of the clutch is not required you just slam the gear but they are loud, difficult to DD and from my understanding the dog engagements can wear out if used for daily driving.

anarchy you have a striaght cut syncro box. its not a dog engagement.
If you going to be spending $5k on a box, why continue with the synchros? Those will still wear out.

When I get my PPG box, it will be helical dogbox. I wont have anywhere near 400 whp so I need not worry about them breaking.
