My factory ignition switch died on me, so I went and got a button to replace it ($70 vs $5)
^ there is the switch if it matters.
Anyway, before I put the switch in, the car would almost always start on the 4th time it turned over. Now it just sits there forever and cranks then eventually barely catches and starts running.
So I'm wondering if I put the switch in wrong. I ran a fused 12v wire to the switch, then from the switch to the starter. I just cut the signal wire at the starter, so I didn't really mess with anything else...
Is there another wire I need to hook up to 12v when the car is starting or something, when the key would be in the start position? Or is it probably just a coincidence and I have another problem?
Any advice is appreciated
