I got rear ended saturday. I slammed on the brakes because this guy was tailing me. He got a $285 ticket. it was great. I hate tailgaters the most.
Well, lets look at my math
I believe that 60% of the time tickets are written for minor infractions. I'd say that 67% of that overall 60% are excusable (meaning tickets are 40.2% excusable overall). It would seem that this 60% overall is made up mostly of minor speeding violations (2-6mph over, which I have been pulled over for too many times), turn signal violations, aggressive driving maneuvers, seatbelts, etc.
...And as far as the cop saying that he didn't pull people over unless they were going 10 over... I never admitted to a cop that I speed sometimes, either
