Of course realistically you're not looking at a large power gain especially for the $$
And you would do yourself a much bigger favor by saving the money you would be spending, and waiting till you have enough for an LT1 or LS1. If you must do mods now, spend it on things that will transfer over, suspension, tires, the right headers if you are going to do an LT1, catback exhaust, etc.
