In 722's defense, he was posing legitimate questions, but definitely could have worded things a little differently.

My personal take on it is, Mustangs and Camaros are for people with one set of tastes, WRXes, EVOs and STis are for another. With cars, it is ALWAYS a horses for courses issue. Hopefully everyone went into their respective showroom/dealership with an objective in mind and obtained the car that best allowed them to reach that objective on their budget. Hopefully everyone was happy with what they drove off in. In the end, that's all that really matters.
As someone with a lovably ugly ride

, I can say that I have a certain appreciation for the shaker hood. As someone who is into forced induction, I'd have to say that I have a greater appreciation for the blower on the Cobra. Would I pay 8-9k more for a Cobra? Hell no...I'd buy a big, fat turbo system and strap that on a plain Jane, early 90s 5.0 GT if I really wanted to go fast in a straight line on the cheap.

In the end, the Cobra has gimongous power potential if you can flip the bill, but the price of entry is pretty damned high. In my mind, the ideal straight line car is something old(cheap), small, heavily motored and blown.
