there is a line on the lower timing cover pointing at the crank. U can take the sparkplug out of cylinder #1 and put a long 3/8 extention in the whole then turn the crank counter clockwise until that extension is at its highest point and thats TDC, if u pass it for any reason just keep rotating until u get there again, cause u dont want to spin your motor clockwise cause then u may slip a tooth on the timingbelt...
