internal wastegate is on the turbo external goes onto the uppipe before the turbo and the only way to go from internal to external is to weld the internal or make a bracket... and since they said that yours is welded and your external is in your garage that is not a good sign!
seriously if yours is welded shut and you dont have the external on that means youre going to over boost and you dont have a boost gause so you wont know till its too late... turbos gonna go bye bye and your motor
so if they did weld it like they said then you have to put the external on the car or youre fucked dude
hopefully bvp can chime in and say what they did with the wastegate so you dont end up blowing your motor
i wouldnt drive the car and if you do dont get into boost at all until we figure this shit out
I havnt been driving it, but after you gave me that information im definately Not even turning that car on until i bring it to a certified mechanic and have them check it out and run a compression test as well. i have a celica gts so ive been driving that around. Lets get one last post Victor, explain to them please Exactly what went on with that wastegate since i wasnt properly filled in.
