ls1 are good but not every one has the $$$$$$ 4 bolt 350 ,forged pistons,aluminum heads ,and i would buy a Procherger,intercooled for carbs.........
I am not talking about an LS1 I am talking about an old school 4bolt main 350 block that can be had and rebuilt with forged internals from the bottom up for about $2k. The heads are another $1800 to $2000 but it is still pretty doable for a fairly reasonable price.
