word. 23 thousand dollars for that motor is expensive but then again what is better than an RB26? nothing! unless your a rotary guy going for a 3 rotor tt 20b. the most i would be doing is a blue bird or a red top SR but im not trying to go over my head with an RB. unless its already in a Skyrine!
1) They don't cost $23k. The replacement motor for my Dad's 996 Carrera only cost $19k (thank god for the warranty), anyone who pays $23k for an RB should probably just off themselves.
2) There are plenty of motor's that are better than the RB26.
3) If you're new to nissans you should probably just keep it simple and do a red top SR or stick with the KA for a while. Both have tons of parts readily available and there are plenty of people on here that can help you with problems you may encounter with either.
4) If you buy a skyline, let me drive it.
