That's a myth. With today's rocker-arm technology, you can fiddle with it a bit at the beginning and leave it alone, just checking every other oil change. With a carbed setup, it's easy. The power advantages of the solid roller are too great. I've lived with a solid roller before, it's cake...even with EFI.
Plus, you're going to be in there checking the rockers and valve adjustment for the first couple of oil changes anyway.
+1 I agree. I've never heard about having to adjust your valves after every oil change. Hydraulic lifters are quiter but limit RPM capabilities, you going to adjust rocker arm geometry? Also you going with Hydro flat tappet or roller? For power i'd go with solid but meh
