Yeah, go boost if you have the cash...I have a god damn 72 trim on my built coupe(been lsvtec...now b16 ) all forged, and I found the little torque gain was good, never any probs...but with the size of my turbo and all the other work the b18 was a loss. I can make much more power by bringing the boost higher and being able to take it to higher rpms...but just like colin, if it breaks so what...fix it....either way it is really a money and time issue, if you have it to blow its great, if not stick with what is going to cost less to fix...but good luck on your project and if you need to find any parts to finish let me know, I probably have it.....oh yeah, dave give me a call....
