That is so true. Alot of people forget the past so quick. I spent alot of years in the Navy and naturally traveled alot. Once while we were in France, out partying, one of the guys got too drunk. While we were geting him up to leave, I overheard a few comments from the locals about Asshole Americans.

Naturally, I ask what language do they teach the kids in school here.

Why "French!" was the reply.

I replied "You can thank my Asshole grandfather it's not German."

Thank God there was about a dozen of us out, cause that didn't sit to well with them.
