OK, we're seriously hijacking this thread but all I'm saying is that when something does go right (EG: the south american hostage deal) he doesn't even get credit for that. I saw an interveiw with one of the people involved and the day the hostages were released the Italian parliment was voting in favor of a bill that said, in essence "Bad, Bad south american terrorist, bad people" this hostage dude says that when you need people on your side to make verbage you go to Italy, France, Germany, if you need something to actually happen you pretty much have to deal with the US and the Brits.

It pisses me off how people bitch about bush and say how he F'd this country up and how clinton was much better and America was doin so good blah blah blah. Look who had more seats on congress when clinton was in office Republicans and everything was great. Ok now Bush is in office and who has more seats now? Yup! Democrats. Clinton was good with the country's economy. The REPUBLICAN controlled congress during Clinton's term implemented an act designed to help stabalize the economy and balance the budget; most of it was simply never enacted, the rest of it didn't do jack shit. Clinton's Omnibus Budget Reconcilliation Act, which the REPUBLICAN controlled congress screamed bloody murder at, was responsible for balancing the budget.

We could go back and forth all day about why (R) or (D) are evil to not avail. It boils down to this - the Republicans who are left in power have strayed so far from the true ideals of the Republican party they're barely even recognizable. Bush happens to be one of those Republicans, and he happens to be one of the worse of the bunch. This new wave of Democrats coming into power has its bad apples, but we'll see if they've got their heads screwed on straight. Since being in office I can tell you that overall, their voting record has been typical of classic Democrats: heavy on the social welfare crap, protecting our CIVIL LIBERTIES, and well...lets face it...you could splooge on a budget proposal and hand it to the president and it couldn't fuck things up worse than they are already.

And if anyone mentions the term 'technology bubble' I'll throw fucking spark plugs at you.
