He's talking about the variant of autocross that they're calling gymkhana in Japan these days. I'm not sure how they score them, there must be some judging other than time... if they even consider time. It's sort of a mini "drifting" competition from the videos I've seen. The course includes pivot cones (you do a loop around the cone), figure-eights (you do an 8 around two cones), wide sweeping turns to drift through, exaggerated offset slaloms that you really can't get around without hanging the tail out and things of that sort. It's all about controlled oversteer. Not sure how our regulars would take it.

As for the site map, I'll send you the usual event chairman info. I have a map, but it's not scaled properly. Bill took some actual measurements last week, so when I get that info back from him, I'll revamp the map and put a copy on the website.
