my guess is this is because not many guys that ride were brought up racing anything. if you find someone that say ran gocarts as a kid, half the battle is already won and all he has to do is learn the skills to put his bike on that line.

if you don't understand lines thru corners and how they lead to the next set. your in for some harsh shit your first time at the track. throw in the fact that even if your good, it takes time to learn each track, being able to lean your bike over farther than the next guy on a back road sweeper doesn't mean much.
