ls/vtec with Nitrous or Boost?
Just trying to decide what to do at this moment. Of course the turbo route is going to make more power but also a little more expensive.
Turbo setup:
LS block, Wiseco (9.2:1), ls rods, b16 head, gsr cams, itr intake manifold, Maxrev kit (T3/T4e 57 trim with .63A/R), 12-14psi
3bar map with Hondata. Power would be great but how streetable would it really be? Although, I think someone hear ran a 12.6 or so on drag radials....yes that blue Si. But traction would be a big issue for a daily driver and more maintance. However, it's very tempting looking at the Maxrev kit in my room.
Nitrous setup:
LS block, higher compression (~11.5:1 forged pistons), ls rods, arp rod bolts, Skunk2 Stage 2 cams (itr/portflow valve springs), itr intake manifold, some sort of 4-1 header (JDM DC or itr), zex kit with a 50 shot. Less maintance since I won't really use the nitrous on the streets, good powerband for a daily driver with decent traction. How many people have a nitrous setup that's pushing over 220whp (4 cyclinders)?
Goals: High 12s on drag radial or maybe slicks. Just mid to low 13s on street tires...yet reliable enough for 120-150 miles a week with little abuse. I don't really take my car over 2500rpm...only once in a while.
I'd like to get opinions from you guys...especially with a nitrous setup that's making some decent power.
