If the officer you know is really your friend you won't put him in a situation that he has to perjure himself and risk his whole career by lying on your ticket. Perjury is very serious for a cop. One time convicted and his whole career is done. And this does happen I've seen it. I don't think your friends career is worth the 80 dollar tint job if he gets caught lying.

It sucks you got the ticket for tint, its happened to me. Maybe the cop was just being an ass, but the fact is the tint is illegal and you knowingly took that risk when you had it installed. Just suck it up as I did and start scraping. After getting it inspected have the front windows redone.
