I'm working on a friend that's an officer to do that exact thing. I hear that happens all the time. Bad thing is, I drive that route everyday and I just know the same guy will probably pull me over again down the road. I love my limo tint too much to go down to the light shit. I've been driving around with limo since I was 16, now 34 and never had the 1st issue.

 

Like stated earlier, Im sure a doc's excuse is all it takes.

 

Doc's excuse FTMFW - do an eye doctor for sure. Especially if you've got light colored eyes. Light eyes + FL sun lights = terrrrible migraines. Which is exactly why I have uber dark limo tint, and no longer have any problems

Although, in my younger (less wise) years I just scraped the tint, paid the ticket, and reapplied tint

 

I dont understand the points on your license, it an equipment violation (no moving) No points infraction. I was pulled over several times by same cop in Temple Terrace for illegal tint. I had all windows tinted including the windshield. He wanted to search my car everytime for guns and drugs but made the mistake by saying he was pulling me for my tint right off the bat, wrong answer no searchy here. He went as far as bring out a dog to walk around my car to see if the dog would hit on it. I was 19 and had a new 92 GT and he swore I was a dope dealer. I miss that car. It was a 2-tone green (same as yours) and silver with gold A.R.E 3 piece wheels

 

Yea, I have had buddies that have had tint violation tickets in which they were advised to just pay the ticket and keep their tint. No points and I think he said there was a specified amount of time that you couldn't get a ticket for tint again.

All of this is second hand info, so I don't know.

I have always had limo tint on all of my mustangs and whenever I'd see a cop near, I would roll the windows and if I was pulled I'd not only have the windows down, I would throw on the interior dome light.

Its a non-moving violation, which means no points. Where are you getting two points from?

 

From the deputy that wrote me the ticket. He told me I had 30 days to get it taken off, taken to the sheriffs station and signed off on and then take that to the Plant City courthouse to pay the fine. He said if I did not get it signed off on by the sheriffs office and just paid the fine than 2 points would be added to my license.
This is the only thing I could find backing up what he said. I don't know, I thought it had to be a moving violation as well.

I have been lookin at prices around and a couple shops said no to illegal tint but most just said that they were gonna put on my reciept(sp?) that they put tha legal on but would put on whatever I wanted!
