the other day i was redlining gears and somehow i went from 4th to 3rd on accident. Now after that when i push the shifter to the right in neutral i hear a small metal on metal grinding, but it sounds like its coming from the actual shifter itself, not inside the transmission, so I think my syncros are ok. Also now in 5th gear while cruising my shifter wobbles like crazy. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

When I look under the car and move the shifter back and forth in neutral, my exhaust moves down a little bit. Is my shifter hitting my exhaust causing the rattle/movement?
