I can't speak for a slow Civic Si, but some of us who have decently quick cars like to actually drive them. Believe it or not, between work and school, the highlight of my day is usually the drive home. If there is an opening with
no cars, it's fun to open her up or let the rear get a little loose. Whether a random pedestrian or varsity club occupant hears or sees my car, makes no difference to me since I'm driving the car to indulge myself and not you.
With that being said, I pretty much have the same reaction when I see people with crappy or slow cars that are trying to impress others. That is ricer status.
