Anyone ever use anything like this for summer riding?
A buddy of mine (who's armor crew currently in Iraq) recently told me about these. I guess some of the guys rotating in to replace them have these, and swear by them.
Texas Cool Vest
Basically its a vest that uses special cold packs that stay right at 65 degrees as they undergo a phase change. The effect lasts for about 2 hours worn under body armor in Iraq, and should last much longer here. The packs are recharged by throwing them in a cooler full of ice water for 20 minutes or a fridge for about an hour.
Seems like an ideal solution for summer riding, Im just curious if anyones ever tried anything like this.
