It looks like his mod is what's screwing it up. When the higher red pull dips quickly, it dips to his first pull without the mod. The first pull (blue line) isn't so screwed up. So whatever you did, take it off and get a real boost controller on there.
This mod was just being tested for effect. It will be needed ( in the form of an upgraded actuator) in conjunction with a boost controller to maintain boost above 4500RPM.
