After searching the internet and finding a "new" shop in Mulberry, they said they would service the scooter. I drove out there yesterday and had the mechanic look at the scooter. He said "no problem." They seemed like decent people, but I guess I'll find out.

Also, after contacting several online scooter part stores.....a store got back to me and said that my scooter does not have a filter it has a coil that you wipe off when changing the oil.

This has been such a learning experience, sometimes a pain, but it's ok. The money I am saving by using this scooter is worth it. The question is, a motorcycle next??????????????????

Thanks to everyone for your help and input. And, yes, I realize I kind of got screwed with the chinese make, but that's what I get for not doing my research. I will definitely consult the board when I go to buy my next scooter/cycle.
