Here's the problem. Jonway aka Ranger scooters are made in CHINA. The bigger shops have a grudge, I guess, against scooters made in china. They will not service them.
Yea!
My friend has a chinese made super pocket bike, they wired the brake light to the clutch. So when he changes gears his break light lights up.

Hate to tell you man, but those Chinese cycles/scooters are crap. One reason mechanics won't bother with it because its not worth the hassel for them. Mix-matched parts and inferior craftsmanship. Probably hard to to find the right filter, or they are afraid they'll strip the threads due to inferior metals. If you're lucky yours might be a knock-off of a japanese scooter in which some of the japanese scooters parts might work, you'll have to figure out which one. The Chinese made stuff seems like a good deal until it breaks. Then good luck trying to find parts or getting it serviced. The $850 "value" will be worth next to nothing when that happens. Sorry, I don't mean to be a Debbie-Downer...just my two cents. If I were you I'd try to change the oil myself and think about unloading that scooter before it croaks and getting a good quality used non-chinese bike.

And yeah, what Whicked1 said...go get your endorsement if you don't have it yet.
