You spray both sides of the MLS gasket, some people pull the rivet from the 3 gaskets, I had to do this as well, I dont know why, but my heads would not sit flush on the block with the rivets. But I sprayed both sides, let them air dry for a minute to tack, and drop them on. Torque down in 3 seperate sequences. Also on the Head Studs, look at going a little tighter than the usual spec, I beleive people are going 110 up top and 105 on the bottom with head studs, with bolts, you have to remain at stock specs. I had to do bolts because my Shaft mounted rockers wouldnt allow for studs. Good Luck
