As far as the fuel pressure issue where is your FP gauge located? Be sure you checking pressure at the rail. Sounds like the fuel pump is going south on ya., Ive seen them get hot and pump, and the pressure be low and work fine when they cool off
Thermostat can only fit in one way that I know of
. I've been trying discount auto parts brands, maybe i'll go get a motorcraft one instead. I'm a mechanic so I usually don't mis little things like that but it happens!

It's got a new pump in it fuel pressure is exactly where it needs to be even when hot. It's a 255lph so even if it was falling on it's face it would be pumping out more than the factory
It's not a fuel pressure issue at all the injectors are toggling, maybe the duty cycle is too low to start or something I dunno..
Thinking maybe the coolant temp sensor has something to do with it? That's the only thing I can think of...
