IMO stay away from an equal lenght shorty header... why you ask? All I have to say have fun changing the spark plugs on equal length shortys on a 302. IMO if you have the ground clearance and the correcty tranny combination I would go long tubes

I have the BBK equal lengths on my 95. Changing the plugs is a biatch, and my #3 and #4 plug boots get burnt ALL the time, even with header wrap. I got tired of replacing them, so I just have burnt boots on those wires for now.
